Congratulations to Nicole M. Longo, Bishop Grimes Alum
Nicole M. Longo, daughter of Nicholas and Antoinette Longo has been selected to the 2011 Delta Zeta Chapter of the Rho Chi Honor Society at St. John Fisher College Wegmans School of Pharmacy. Rho Chi is the national academic honor society for Pharmacy. This selection is based on her high academic achievement in the Pharmacy curriculum.
Nicole is currently in her P-3 year at Wegmans School of Pharmacy and graduated from Bishop Grimes High School in 2006.
Congratulations to Danielle R. Longo, Bishop Grimes Alum
Danielle R. Longo, daughter of Nicholas and Antoinette Longo has been named to the Fall 2010 and Spring 2011 Dean’s List by maintaining a 3.3 GPA and is a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars at the University of Rhode Island. Danielle Longo is currently in her P-1 year in the College of Pharmacy. She graduated from Bishop Grimes High School in 2009.
Congratulations to Dr. James Sunser, Bishop Grimes Alum
Bishop Grimes Prep extends its congratulations to James Sunser, Bishop Grimes Class of 1978, who was named the new president of Genesee Community College in Batavia, New York. Dr. Sunser has served at Onondaga Community College for the last 23 years, most recently as Vice President for Continuing and Extended Learning. He is also an alumnus of Onondaga Community College.
"It is a great honor to be selected by the Board of Trustees at Genesee Community College to serve as its next president. My professional career has been dedicated to Onondaga, and it is an exceptional opportunity to continue to serve the community college sector of higher education at Genesee Community College," said James Sunser, Ed.D.
Dr. Sunser will be relocating to Batavia with his wife, Roseann. He begins his new position this summer.

Congratulations to Frank Marzullo, Bishop Grimes Alum
Frank Marzullo, class of 2009, has made the Dean's List for the fall of 2009, President's List for the spring of 2010, and the Dean's List for fall of 2010 at Tompkins Cortland Community College and will be graduating in May 2011. He looks forward to continuing his education at a 4 year college. Well done, Frank!

Congratulations to Sarah Gillen Redmore, Bishop Grimes Alum
"Syracuse University's Interior Design Program ranked 4th in the nation by DesignIntelligence in 2011!"
Sarah Gillen Redmore, Bishop Grimes Class of 1984, Interior Design Program Coordinator and Assistant Professor at Syracuse University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts has won a 2011 Chancellor’s Award for Public Engagement and Scholarship. The awards will be given in a ceremony on Wednesday, March 30, in the Schine Student Center’s Goldstein Auditorium.
The award, formerly known as the Chancellor’s Award for Public Service (CAPS), recognizes Syracuse University students who exemplify Scholarship in Action—the bold vision that matches the vigorous pursuit of knowledge with the ability to make a difference in the world through community engagement. The award acknowledges individual students, groups of students, residence halls, residence floors, student organizations and academic projects or classes that are invested in and contribute to the public good. Sarah received the award because of her work with her students on a project with Hillside’s Phoenix Center in Syracuse.
