Section Three Playoff News
The boys and girls soccer teams will be playing in a Section Three soccer playoff doubleheader on Wednesday. The boys earned the #6-seed in Class C and will play Sauquoit Valley at 5:00 p.m. The girls, who are seeded #3 in the C-2 bracket, will play Utica Notre Dame at 7:00. Admission will be $3.00 for the doubleheader.
Good luck to all of our competing Cobra soccer players.
Congratulations go out to Amelia Heiselman and Erannan Shattuck who have advanced to the semifinals of the Section Three tennis playoffs. The senior duo will be competing in the doubles semifinals against a team from Beaver River on Tuesday morning at Drumlins. The winner of that match will advance to play in the finals that afternoon. Good luck ladies!
Last Call for School Physicals
Free school physicals will be offered at Bishop Grimes this Thursday, October 27. Any student who is interested in a free physical should stop by the health office by Tuesday in order to schedule an appointment to see the doctor. You must schedule an appointment through Mrs. Goode in order to be seen by the district doctor on October 27. This will be the last time school physicals will be offered before winter sports begin. Remember, all student-athletes must have an updated school physical on file, as per state rules. That physical must be from within a year of the start of the current sports season.
Winter Sports Starting Dates
A reminder that the beginning of the modified winter sports season is upon us. Modified girls volleyball starts this Monday, October 24. Modified Boys Basketball begins next Tuesday, November 1. Anyone expecting to participate should make sure all appropriate paperwork is completed and turned in before the first practice.
