End of Year Transportation
In an effort to accomodate the transportation needs of the greatest number of our students during May, as well as final examinations and regents we request transportation home from Bishop Grimes at the following times:

Inclement Weather-Delayed Opening/Closing/Early Dismissal
As the probability of inclement weather increases, please remember that Bishop Grimes students are expected to be in school, if possible, unless the radio/TV announcements specifically identify Bishop Grimes as being closed. If your district delays opening, your BG student will not be considered tardy. If your district of residence closes and we do not, your district will not provide transportation and your student will not be considered absent. Our normal procedure is to dismiss all students from a district that closes early.
Riding Other Buses
Due to insurance restrictions, our suburban districts will only allow students who reside in their district to board the buses.
Cell Phones
While cell phones have become an integral and important part of our daily lives, they can be detrimental to the peace, security, and safety of our students if used during the school day. Please remind your students that cell phones need to be turned off and out of sight during our normal school hours, unless the student has administrative permission.
Students choosing to ignore this request will have their phones confiscated and returned only to the parents/guardians. Students needing to contact a parent/guardian should come to the main office and permission will be granted. Parents or guardians needing to contact their student can call the school (437-0356) and our office staff will facilitate the communication. |
